UZ "Vitebsk regional blood transfusion station"

1. Donor Recruitment Department

the Office of acquisition donor staff is a subdivision of "Vitebsk regional station of blood transfusion". Every day here come about 100 donors per year - about 8 thousand people. Just a Rolodex of donors UZ "Viciebsk regional blood transfusion station" there are more than 50 thousand people.

Many of the donors give blood several times. In addition to the urban population in the donation actively involved the inhabitants of the districts of the Vitebsk region - they make up approximately 1/3 of all donors.

every year, the ranks of donors replenished almost 2 thousand people. About 300 become 'Honorary donor of the Republic of Belarus'.

Main tasks The Office of acquisition donor staff are:

  • Recruiting donors of blood, plasma (including immune), accounting and maintenance of records.
  • Medical examination of donors. Immunization of donors.
  • flow control donors, to obtain blood and its components with the aim of reducing their time on station of blood transfusion.
  • Provide guidance to red cross and health care institutions on issues of organization, propaganda and agitation of blood donation among the population.

Options the Office of acquisition donor staff:

  • Selection of donors (immune donors, donors of rare groups, plasma donors), the implementation of their registration, examination and immunization. The withdrawal of donors from the register and discharge them from giving blood and its components contraindications.

Since 1994, the Department switched to the registration of donors, maintaining filing of rejected individuals, the clearance of blood - and plasmatic, thrombocytapheresis using modern computer techniques and programs that increased the reliability and reduced the time of maintenance of the donors.

In the branch, the big work on formation of healthy lifestyle among donors: published sabuleti, booklets and leaflets, lectures, including the radio station "Vitebsk regional station of blood transfusion", held talks. Since 2007 ACDC are kinovideocentr: donor films on the subject of healthy lifestyles and the prevention of hemotransmissive infections.

2. Department of blood preparation and its components

The department of blood preparation and its components was created in 1932. It became the primary source of the entire blood service of the Vitebsk region.

In 1972, a division of manual plasmapheresis was opened in OZK and k, in the same year donor immunization was mastered, and procurement of antistaphylococcal plasma was started.

In 2006, the method of automatic apheresis was introduced.

In 2007, the method of automatic plasmacytapheresis was introduced.

The main tasks of OZK and k are:

OZK and k is equipped with modern equipment and computer technologies, which allows us to make the work of the department the most efficient.

3. Blood Department

Department of blood products began its work in 1972.

the need for the establishment of this Department have arisen after it was found that the efficacy of the isolated and concentrated protein fractions are significantly higher than the efficacy of solid plasma.

the First experiments of plasma fractionation in the defense industry provided the opportunity for the 1973 to move to the release of significant quantities of such blood products like fibrinogen, albumin, immunoglobulin and cryoprecipitate.

This work was an initial period of establishment of production technologies for blood products in the TIES "Vitebsk regional station of blood transfusion". Subsequent experience with the production of drugs has made significant adjustments to the scheme of fractionation and organizational principles of mass production. The main result of this process was the creation of complex methods, allowing to obtain plasma from a number of the most important for therapeutic purposes, drugs.

Today, thanks to the real achievements of mechanization and automation of technological processes, selection and training of experts the necessary qualifications, planning the supply of raw materials and materials, MIC is a large-scale structural unit in order to suit the needs of healthcare organizations of Vitebsk region in the blood products and to ensure the proper quality of products.

the division of blood products includes: office of production preparation; separation of the production of drugs (phase of acquisition of raw materials, a plot of fractionation of plasma proteins, the site preparations of blood coagulation, the area sterile filtration, dispensing, production control and labeling of blood products, the separation of the drying of bio-products), area decontamination products and waste.
